IARP Lifetime Achievement Award

For the individual professional member who has demonstrated a history of distinguished service or life-long commitment to the rehabilitation profession and has made significant and notable contributions both to the organization and profession throughout his/her career.  Retired can be considered.  

ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA: 

  • Active professional member of IARP (suggested minimum of 20 years of continuous active membership).
  • Involved in all aspects of IARP membership at the section, chapter and international levels including attending conferences.

IARP Outstanding Professional Member Award

Volunteerism can occur outside of the umbrella of IARP activities or in IARP sponsored charities (i.e. Kids Chance).  For purposes of evaluating candidates the volunteer activity would predominantly be within IARP or those charities sponsored by IARP or IARP recognized chapters. 

ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA: 

  • Active professional member of IARP (suggested minimum 2 to 5 years of continuous active membership).
  • Volunteers services or personal resources at both the chapter and international levels.
  • Inspires or motivates other members to participate in volunteer service. 
  • Donates the "Gift of Time" and financial or material resources (e.g., donate office space to non-profit group activities).
  • involved in mentoring programs.
  • service to conferences (e.g., initiating or participating in Veterans' services outreach).
  • shares personal experiences and assists in the professional development of newer/less experienced members, even when they may be enhancing the qualifications/skills of competitors. 
  • Someone whose volunteer activities are "Making a Difference" in the professional and larger community.

IARP Outstanding Leadership Award

For the individual professional member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the service of IARP, either at the section level, international level or within a particular chapter. He or she is commitment to the rehabilitation profession, and has made significant and notable contributions both to the organization and profession throughout his/her career.  

ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA: 

  • Active professional member of IARP (suggested at least 5 years of continuous active membership).
  • Involved in all aspects of IARP membership, at the section, chapter and international levels including attending conferences.
  • Inspires people to be involved.
  • Willing to share ideas and experience.
  • speaks or participates in professional presentations.
  • writes articles/published.
  • shares personal experiences with newer members.
  • involved in other activities of their own professional development as well as that of their peers
  • Someone whose leadership activities are "Making a Difference" in the professional and larger community.

IARP Emerging Professional Award

For the individual professional member who has expanded the role of rehabilitation professional through IARP participation, leadership, volunteering, and/or professional growth, thereby representing and promoting the mission of IARP to a larger audience.

ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA: Any professional member of IARP practicing for 5 years or less is eligible for this award.
